9 Teams Representing St Joseph's in the BT Young Scientist 2020

What a BT Young Scientist year for us here in St Joseph's! We have seen amazing success being represented by nine different teams- the highest number of entries from any school in Dublin. These students with the help of their teachers got their projects to the required level and we are all so very proud of what has become a tradition in a very short period of time. This is life-changing stuff for those involved.
We are absolutely delighted for the St Joseph's students and staff came away from the RDS with some coveted accolades this year:
  • 1st place Social and Behavioral Junior Individual- Emma McCann
  • 2nd place Biological and Ecological Junior Individual- Niall Rudden

  • Highly Commended Rosette- Killian Harford, Dylan Murtagh Wilde & Alex Boland

  • Display Award Rosette- Andrew Leonard & Darragh Halpin

  • Winner of BT Teacher of Excellence – Social and Behavioural Sciences- Mr Daryl Dunne

Congratulations to all the students invovled and a massive thanks to Mr Dunne, Ms Teehan, Mr O' Connell and Ms Kingston for their direct involvement in projects alongside the entire science department who have done so much to support their colleagues and enthuse the students about this opportunity.

Check two of our students Andrew Leonard & Darragh Halpin in this BT Young Scientist Report.
