Basketball

Basketball ranks number one on the list of up-and-coming sports within the school and since St. Joseph’s first introduction into inter-school competition last year the sport has attracted whole-school interest. This year all eyes focus on both the 1st and 2nd year girls team whose each successive turn will be to ‘believe and achieve’ in the highly competitive ‘D League’. Ms. McElligott and Ms. McCarthy continue in their management reign while Jenny Coady, of Basketball Ireland, will be drafted in for her coaching expertise.

Basketball News 2010/2011
Training will take place after school for both 1st and 2nd year teams on Tuesdays in the gym.

November to February
Both 1st and 2nd Year teams will begin playing in the Dublin “D” League. Training is at present taking place.
