We are delighted to share that St Joseph’s has been selected to receive a grant under Dublin Airport’s Elevate’25 School Support Programme. This generous funding will allow us to purchase a Cubbie Sensory Unit, a state-of-the-art resource designed to support students with sensory needs.
The Cubbie is an innovative smart sensory pod created to help individuals who experience sensory sensitivities—such as students with autism, ADHD, or sensory processing challenges—regulate their environment in a calm, controlled and personalised way. Using a tailored combination of light, sound and visual settings, the Cubbie helps students self-regulate, reduce overwhelm and re-engage positively with school life.
This new addition will be a wonderful asset to our school community, providing a safe and supportive space for students who may need a moment to reset during the busy school day. It aligns closely with our commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and ensuring that every student can access the best possible learning environment.
We are extremely grateful to Dublin Airport for their continued support of schools in our region and for recognising the importance of sensory-friendly facilities in education.
