Some of the Free Classes and Courses for Parents/Guardians in St Joseph's

Parents Plus: This popular 7-week course takes the guesswork out of parenting teenagers! It is a great way to meet other parents and guardians and discuss any issues you may be having at home with your teenagers or to get advice on how to keep a good relationship with them.

Fridays 10am – 12pm

Term 1: September to December
Term 2: January to March

*Pre-registration essential.

Crochet/Crafts: Every Thursday from 11am-12.30pm. All materials are supplied and if you are working on something, you can bring it along. Beginners are catered for and it’s a lovely relaxed way to learn something new and meet new people. No need to register for this course, just show up!

Mindfulness: This 8-week class is always very popular with parents/guardians. A stress-free 2 hours is guaranteed!
Starting during Well-being Week onTuesday October 1st 1.20-3.20pm.

Coffee mornings: We are lucky to have a dedicated Parents’ Room in the school and we often hold coffee mornings here. It is a lovely way to spend an hour when the kids are all in school.

Figure out Maths: A fun, interactive way of learning how to use maths to save money and time and also learn some useful tips on supporting your child with maths. All levels and abilities welcome.

Med Day is a workshop day dedicated to giving 2nd Year students studying Junior Cert Science an insight into what it's like to pursue a Health Sciences-style course at third level.

TY EU Studies students attended a Zoom call with MEP Nina Carberry . This was an engaging question and answer session. The second EPAS teachers’ seminar took place hosted by EPLO at Europa Experience. Visit to Europa experience and The Dail.

Congratulations to our team of four TY students who have qualified for the finals of the 2026 Certified Irish Angus Schools' Competition. This will take place in Croke Park on March 6th 2026. Best of Luck in the Final.
