The Irsh Maths Teachers' Association run the Pi Day Quiz. Here a team of 4 Junior Cycle students compete in a table quiz format over 8 rounds It is a team competition for Junior Cycle Higher level Maths students. The competition is based on a team of 4 students working together to solve mathematical problems based on the Junior Cycle Higher level Maths syllabus.
It is held on a date as close as possible to the 14th March (Pi day 3/14) annually so this year teams competed on Thursday 13th March.
Four teams of four of our talented students represented St Josephs' Secondary School with great enthusiasm and skill, competing against schools from across the region. Their hard work and dedication paid off as a team secured an impressive third place, earning medals and a trophy for their outstanding performance! Congratulations to all involved.
