We were delighted to welcome Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee and Robert O’Donoghue TD to our school today to officially open our brand-new Cubbie Sensory Unit.
This transformative addition to our school was made possible through the generous support of the DAA Elevate '25 grant, an initiative dedicated to enhancing educational environments and fostering inclusion.
The Cubbie provides our students with a state-of-the-art, personalised space to support their sensory needs and wellbeing, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive and feel ready to learn.
We extend our sincere thanks to our guests for joining us to celebrate this milestone and to the DAA for investing in our students' future.

A Cubbie is an immersive, digital sensory management pod designed to help students self-regulate. Unlike traditional sensory rooms, it offers a highly personalised experience.
Tailored Profiles: Students have individual profiles that adjust the light, sound, and video settings to meet their specific sensory needs at that moment (whether they need to be calmed or energised).
Evidence-Based: The software uses Occupational Therapy (OT) designed programmes to help students return to a "ready-to-learn" state in just 5 to 15 minutes.
Inclusion: is a wheelchair-accessible, "blank canvas" space that provides a consistent and safe environment for neurodivergent students or anyone experiencing sensory overload.
