The Trinity Access Programmes (TAP) Educational Achievement Awards recognize academic excellence, leadership, and outstanding school spirit. All students nominated for these awards have demonstrated exceptional commitment, diligence, and a consistently positive contribution to their school community.
The awards are structured into three prestigious categories:

Salters Sterling Leadership Award: Awarded to students who consistently put others before themselves. They exhibit a profound sense of civic-mindedness and purposefulness in their classrooms, schools, and wider communities. These individuals stand out as the leaders of tomorrow who choose to take meaningful action in the present.

School Spirit Awards: Presented to students who have actively built up their school community. Through friendliness, compassion, and hard work, these students make their school a more welcoming, supportive, and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Academic Award: Awarded to students who have excelled academically or shown immense academic diligence and resilience in their subjects, proving their bright potential as future students of Trinity College Dublin.

About the Award: Named in honor of Salters Sterling, a distinguished former staff member of TCD and a founding member of the Trinity Access Programmes. He was a true visionary committed to opening up Trinity College to a more diverse, inclusive student body. Both Séimí and Isabella are incredibly worthy recipients, demonstrating the exact civic-mindedness and leadership required to receive the official TAP Inscribed Gold Medal and certificate.
School Spirit Awards
These awards recognize students for their generous, selfless contributions to the school community. Their warm personalities and proactive leadership make them excellent role models and core pillars of many school groups. Each recipient is awarded an engraved TAP Silver Medal and certificate.
Academic Awards
These awards celebrate academic consistency, a positive mindset, and resilience in the face of academic challenges. Each recipient is awarded an engraved TAP Silver Medal and certificate.
