Young Reporters for the Envirnonment Winner

We are incredibly proud to announce that our student, Aoife Smyth, has been named the national winner of the Senior Photojournalism category in the prestigious Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) competition.

Her powerful winning entry, "The Plastic Cycle," provides a critical investigation into the presence of microplastics within our school lunches and the broader environment, highlighting a hidden but urgent ecological challenge.

Aoife’s work has now advanced to the international stage of the competition, and we need your help to give her message the global reach it deserves.

We encourage all parents and members of our school community to view her impactful photojournalism here and support her journey by sharing her work on social media.

Please help spread the word on Instagram by tagging @yreireland to ensure her vital research gains maximum visibility as she represents our school and country internationally!
