Guidance Department Mission:

St Joseph’s Guidance Department assists and encourages students to work towards achieving their potential by making informed choices about their lives in all respects - personal, social, educational and vocational. It also provides sensitive care and support to students when faced with life's challenges and endeavours to empower them to accomplish their goals.

The Guidance Department offers students both one-to-one counselling and careers advice. We operate an open door policy throughout the academic year. Students can ask for an appointment with the Guidance Counsellor at any stage throughout the school day.

Parents/Guardians are also encouraged to contact the Guidance Counsellor to discuss any matters or concerns relating to their child or to arrange an appointment. They a
re also encouraged to meet with the Guidance Counsellor at information evenings and parent-teacher meetings.
