Fifty enthusiastic students from our school took part in the dynamic and empowering Her Moves Festival held at Sports Campus Ireland, an exciting one-day event designed to encourage teenage girls to explore new sports and embrace active living.
The festival brought together over 2,000 secondary school students and their teachers from across the country. It offered a vibrant, hands-on environment where participants could try out a wide variety of sports and fitness activities—from boxing, karate, and rowing to volleyball, cycling, and orienteering. The students also had the opportunity to meet special guests, take part in workshops, and enjoy live music provided by an on-site DJ at the heart of the venue.

Our group had a fantastic time rotating through different zones, including the Hermoves Chill Zone, Camogie Ireland, GAA Handball , VolleyBall Ireland, and Hockey Ireland. With expert instructors and a positive, inclusive atmosphere, every girl was encouraged to push her boundaries, have fun, and discover new passions.

The event also emphasized student well-being and sustainability, featuring a Medical Tent for support and an eco-awareness section hosted by The Useless Project. Organized in a safe and well-structured layout, the Sports Campus offered clear signage, seating zones, and designated walking tracks to ensure a smooth flow of participants throughout the day.

This visit not only supported physical activity but also promoted confidence, teamwork, and a celebration of what young women can achieve through sport.
Thank you to the teachers and organizers for making this memorable experience possible. Here's to more moves ahead!
